International Education
At Uppsala International School (UIS), we provide high quality international education for students aged 6-18 following the International Baccalaureate® (IB) curriculum within a modern and well-equipped campus.
Uppsala International School (UIS) follows the IB Curriculum, offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for the elementary school students (Pre-K – Grade 5), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for middle school students (Grade 6–10), and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and the Career Programme (IBCP)for senior students (Grade 11 and 12).

We are looking for a fully trained, self-motivated, and responsive professional nurse with experience in school health care and counseling services for students.

Important qualities include responsive and problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a global school environment. Fluent communication skills in both English and Swedish are a requirement to join Uppsala International School.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will be excited to join our school and driven to provide health care and counseling at an exceptional level.

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • Need to be a trained school nurse
  • Solid curative knowledge, preferably diploma or documented education

As a school nurse, you are part of the school's student health team and work closely with teachers, guardians, and authorities outside the school. You work with preventive student health work through health talks and health examinations.

The work includes ensuring that all students reach their educational goals and are vaccinated according to the general vaccination program for children. The assignment also includes having contact with guardians in various matters, having regular contact with teachers, and contributing to the development of student health care at UIS - both physical and mental.

Uppsala International School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its students. Applicants will be required to submit a current police criminal clearance check or equivalent from their home country or current country of residence prior to appointment.

In your application, you must state citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after checking the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
