The British International School, Uppsala (BISU) offers a world-class British and international education for students aged 5-18 in Uppsala.
BISU is a Cambridge International School, offering the Cambridge Pathway, an educational programme for students aged 5 – 19 years, devised by the University of Cambridge and followed by many international schools throughout the world.

The Cambridge Pathway takes students on a journey through Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Level. Bilingual School

We are opening a Bilingual Department (without school Fees) during the Autumn Term of 2022 where more teaching will be offered in Swedish and about Sweden.

The Bilingual programme is a new, exciting addition to our British School community. It is for students aged 5 – 16 and will grow over the coming years.

For our internationally minded students and their families, keeping options open and taking advantage of the best educational systems the world has to offer can be exciting, inspiring and practical.

About the Role

We are looking for an outstanding a highly motivated, creative, and dynamic teacher to join the British international school of Uppsala, Sweden

We believe that outstanding teachers are the cornerstone of an outstanding school. By building on our teachers’ pedagogical practice through ongoing professional development we best serve the educational needs of our students and honour the concept of lifelong learning.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • A B.Ed or subject related degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of teaching Maths & Science.
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
  • A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England/Cambridge curriculum.
  • Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills.
